Mag. and the bullet is nowhere close to failure. This bullet and weight improves the effectiveness of the .458 Winchester Magnum over the 500gr. bullets due to the increased velocity that it can obtain.

The Lott should be capable of 2400fps and would put the bullet in the center of its operating range.
