Hi Jiri,

The PP will work excellent on all bears, elk, wild boars etc. In the weights that the PP is offered, it should perform as well if not slightly better on these animals with the exception of a big brown bear where, given its size, the SS would still be recommended.

Hello Admin,

thank you for comment. I would like to ask you. If PP is designed for large cats, will it be also (in 375 H&H) better for black or brown bears, large elks and wild boars etc?

Hi Jiri,

Gerry mentioned he used the PP for all the game which is incredible. We actually designed it for thinner skin animals but made it strong enough to use on the larger, tougher skin animals if needed, like you are hunting lion or leopard and come across a big buffalo. This is something you couldn't do with most other lion bullets that we know of.

We actually recommend using the normal soft point for buffalo if that is your primary target but rest assured if the situation arises and you have the PP loaded, you can have confidence that PP will hold up.

Hello Gerry,

I would like to ask you. Did you use PP bullets on buffalo or did you use "standard soft point" version?

BTW Very nice lion ;-)

Great trophies! I agree, the .375H&H really "can do it all". Of course good shot placement and reliable bullets are essential. I used a .375H&H, with 270, 286 and 300 grain softs and solids, on many buffalo, lion, elephant, hippo, crocodile and other game all with good results. I don't ever remember losing any game. I think the .375 H&H is really the "all-around African rifle".

Buon giorno,

We do indeed have 300gr solids for the 405 Winchester. Typically the new Winchester 405's are 413 diameter and we offer these in a 300gr solid with special order.

To order our product in Italy, you can go through Midway as they have a dealer in Italy that can help you. I will forward your email address to Midway's international sales representative and he can work with you to get his special order item.

We do not have a 400gr bullet for the 405 although we could make one. The case capacity of the 405 winchester case would be severally limited with a 400gr bullet however. We have found that 300-330gr solid bullets for the 405 seem to work the best for this cartridge. Please, send us an email and we can discuss in more detail. (info@northforkbullets.com)
