Immaculate Performance Review by lawndart
Due to a normally deadly disease, I have been bed bound much of the last three years. However, I recently received a call and was asked if I could sort out an unhappy American Bison Bull that had "eloped" from his feeding corral and was ripping out fence wire as he went. Easiest tracking job of my life.
One 370 in front of 84 grains of Norma 203B...Boom Flop. I went back home to bed.
BTW, the newest chemotherapy is starting to make headway. Watch out world. (Posted on 11/30/2011)
Coastal Brown Bear Review by Tommie
The 370 gr. North Fork was recommended to me by Marc, who is a guide in Alaska. I visited with Marc on the phone about this bullet and a load he recommended. I was very pleased with the accuracy of this bullet in my rifle. I traveled to Southeast Alaska and hunted coastal brown bear in September 2010. I was only pushing this bullet to 2400 FPS in my gun. My shot was from 80 yards. It only took one, with complete pass through and the bear only went about 10 yards. I was very pleased with the results. Thanks North Fork for a great bullet! A guides point of View Review by Marc
I own and operate a guiding business in Alaska. I started using the 370 gr. North Fork in my .416 Remington shortly after it came out. Nothing compares to this bullet. I actually have never recovered a single bullet from Moose or Brown Bear. I can say that the results are amazing. The wound channel is straight and the terminal dammage is immense. I push this bullet to 2500 FPS in my gun. Great job North Fork..... (Posted on 8/18/2009)
Proven performer on Asiatic water buffalo Review by Rob
I operate HuntsNTa safari hunting business in Australia's Northern Territory. A couple of years ago I stumbled across Mike Brady's North Fork web site and immediately understood Mike's performance objectives for his bullets. We did a lot of emailing and eventually I purchased 2 boxes of 416 370SS for my 416 Rem Mag. I can say that the performance on big buff which are reputadley tougher than Cape buff has been outstanding. With a 3.64 magazine I crimp into the second groove and with a of load 83 grains of RE15 there are no signs of pressure. I don't bother with velocities as it's what happens in the field that counts and this load literally blows big buff off their feet over the shorter distances. The NF bullet is also dynamite on scrub bulls or feral cattle which are sometimes big Brahman X breeds. Unfortunately when I heard NF had gone out of business (not any longer;)) I removed a reference to North Fork from my web site. I intend rewritng info on the virtues of NF bullets which are the best we have ever used and that includes Barnes and Woodleigh. The cup head solid also makes a lot of sense as in many situations normal solids just go on through without any real damage or stopping effect. North Fork a truly innovative bullet company. Best soft on market for dangerous game Review by bullshooter
I tested them all and there was no comparison for consistency in accuracy, penetration and weight retention and my barrel stayed a lot cleaner then with a Barnes. (Posted on 2/4/2009)
